The base material used in a Nacht Multipurpose Cooker is high-purity aluminum. Hard anodizing is an advanced post-manufacturing technology that uses anodizing to create a durable, non-reactive, protective layer on the surface of aluminum. This makes aluminum parts extremely durable, safe, and resilient. Hard anodizing turns regular cookware into healthy cookware, especially at high temperatures. Yes, using the tandoor allows for all parts of the inserted cookware to be heated evenly and indirectly using radiant heat, which means that the food is cooked from all directions but more gently and evenly. This method allows little water to evaporate from the dish, therefore preserving nutrients and flavors while being more efficient in terms of time and energy consumption. The non-stick surface of the cookware further prevents food from sticking and burning. If used properly, the tandoor can also be used as a slow cooker. Here are some tips for using the tandoor that prevent food from burning:

  • Preheat the tandoor to the desired temperature before cooking.
  • Use a moderate amount of oil or fat to prevent the food from sticking.

If you follow these tips, you can use the tandoor to cook delicious and juicy food without the risk of burning it.

The acids in dishwashing soap can corrode the hard anodized coating on your Nacht cookware, making it less effective and shortening the lifespan of your cookware. It would be best to hand wash hard-anodized cookware using mild soap, warm water, a sponge and a steel scrubber. Use a steel scrubber to remove any stains on your tandoor, the hard-anodized lid as well as the exterior of your cookware. Use a soft sponge to clean the interior of your cookware.
